Our history, our values, and how we work — a Scout group built on the idea that young people should lead.
Scouting first came to Thaajuddeen School roughly 35–37 years ago, beginning with a single Cub Scout pack — part of a national movement now well into its 70th year of Scouting in the Maldives. From that start, the group grew steadily, adding Scout Troops as members got older and the programme matured.
The newest addition is our Rover section, launched on 5 November 2024 with seven founding Rovers — young adults who grew up through the group and chose to stay on, take more responsibility, and give back through service.
Today, Thaajuddeen School Scout Group spans all four sections and continues to grow. Exact founding dates are still being verified against old group records — the figures below reflect where things stand now.
TSSG's adult leadership is led by the Group Scout Leader, supported by an assistant and section in-charge leaders. Names marked [TBC] are placeholders pending confirmation.
Cubs and Scouts open at school-year start. Rovers can join any time.
