Our history, our values, and how we work — a Scout group built on the idea that young people should lead.
Since 1991, Scouting has been part of Thaajuddeen School, beginning with a single Cub Scout pack — part of a national movement now well into its 70th year of Scouting in the Maldives. From that start, the group grew steadily, adding Scout Troops as members got older and the programme matured.
The newest addition is our Rover section, launched on 5 November 2024 with seven founding Rovers — young adults who grew up through the group and chose to stay on, take more responsibility, and give back through service.
Today, Thaajuddeen School Scout Group spans all four sections and continues to grow.
Thaajuddeen School Scout Group's adult leadership is led by the Group Scout Leader, supported by an Assistant Group Scout Leader and two section in-charge leaders, with warranted Scout Leaders and Akelas running the sections week to week.
