Know how to stay safe alone, on the beach, on the road and near building sites, and what to do in an emergency at home.

What you need to do

  1. Tell your examiner five things that you would not do when you are alone.
  2. Show how to use a public telephone and know emergency telephone numbers.

  3. Explain to the examiner what you would do in the following situations:

    1. If you have a serious cut
    2. If there is a burglary
    3. If your house is on fire
    4. If the water pipe bursts

  4. Know some of the hazards you may find when you are in at least one of the following:

    1. Walking on the beach
    2. Walking bare foot
    3. Crossing the road
    4. Near a construction site
    5. Near the garbage dump
