Scout proficiency badge

Musician

A proficiency badge in the Scout scheme. The 2006 SAM syllabus does not yet set its requirements — ask your Scout Leader.

What you need to do

No requirements yet. The Scout Association of Maldives Scout Proficiency Badges syllabus (2006) lists this badge but does not set out what needs to be done to earn it.

Ask your Scout Leader what is expected for now.

Before you start

A Scout may start earning proficiency badges when he has completed the Scout Standard. He has a choice of badges, and some of the badges are a requirement for the Scout Cord for Scouts under 15, or the Bushman's Thong for Scouts over 15 years of age.

The Scout earning a badge must enter the syllabus of the badge into his logbook, make notes on the requirements of the specific badge he is attempting and write the required notes neatly.

If a badge examiner list is not available, please contact the Association, giving sufficient time so that the Association can arrange an appointment with the examiner for the Scout taking the badge.

About these requirements

From the Scout Association of Maldives Scout Proficiency Badges (draft) syllabus, 2006. Work through them with your Scout Leader; the badge examiner signs them off.
